This course was created to meet OSHA’s fire protection standards 29 CFR 1910.157, 1910.38, and 1910.39 for personnel who have been designated by their employer to use portable fire extinguishers in the workplace. Employees learn how to choose and utilize the appropriate fire extinguisher for the job. Employees will receive an overview of fire extinguisher standards, as well as education in the general concepts of fire extinguisher use and the hazards associated with early-stage firefighting. This course also covers Emergency Action Plans and Evacuation Procedures.
This course is designed to help learners understand the basics of a fire, how to prevent them, and how to effectively respond to a workplace fire.
